Transforming UK Food Systems SPF Programme Joint Fellowship

The Transforming UK Food Systems SPF Programme is delighted to welcome new fellow, Dr Bethan Mead, to the programme. Supported by the Food Standards Agency at the University of Liverpool, the post will involve research into understanding consumer and stakeholder perception of urban grown food and alternative proteins, to inform safe adoption and best practice.

Food security finalists listed for prestigious BBSRC Innovator of the Year awards

Five innovation projects that directly seek to enhance food security have been shortlisted for the Biotechnology and Biological Science Research Council’s (BBSRC) prestigious Innovator of the Year awards. BBSRC leads on the Global Food Security programme, which is hosted by UK Research and Innovation.

ECR Policy Lab on the determinants of food choice for healthy and sustainable diets

The Global Food Security (GFS) programme invites expressions of interest from post-doctoral researchers to take part in a Policy Lab on the determinants of food choice (for example biological, social, environmental, physical and economic) and the combination of interventions across these that will lead to healthier and more sustainable diets.
