The Global Food Security programme has published a scenarios report exploring potential transformation pathways to align the UK food system with global agreements. Through stimulating thought and discussion about the future of the UK food system, this report aims to help policymakers navigate uncertainty, facilitate long-term decision-making, and inspire immediate action.

The 2021 GFS Policy Lab ran over 3 days in April bringing together early career researchers from a range of disciplines to discuss how to reduce food loss and waste to contribute to net zero emissions from the food system.

The newly released report from the 2018 Policy Lab winners explores interventions that require little to no personal or psychological effort to discourage meat consumption in the UK.
This report explores how low-agency population interventions can reduce meat consumption across the UK population. It contains an umbrella review of 44 systematic reviews to synthesise all the available evidence for the effectiveness of low-agency population interventions at reducing meat selection, purchase, or consumption. A critical assessment of the evidence is used to discuss the wider insights gained and the implications for policy and practice.
